Completion of FEI Jumping World Challenge 2019 – 2nd Competition (5 – 6 Oct 2019)

 

Dear members,

 

Subvented by Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), the FEI Jumping World Challenge 2019 – 2nd Competition (2nd FEI JWC 2019) was held over the weekend from 5 – 6 Oct 2019 (Sat – Sun) at the HKJC Beas River Equestrian Centre. 11 riders competed at the event, in which 9 riders took part in Category C (1.0 – 1.1m), 1 in Category B (1.1 – 1.2m) and 1 in Category A (1.2 – 1.3m).

 

By combining the penalty points in Round 1 (5 Oct 2019) and Round 2 (6 Oct 2019), Edgar Fung and Milton Van De Noordheuvel won the first place of Category C with a superb double clear round in 65.22 seconds. The second place went to Cecilia Chan and Petit Prince with 4 penalties in 69.12 seconds, followed by Natalie Walker and Quick Money with 8 penalties.

 

For Category B, Nicolas Yu and Leona were unfortunately eliminated due to 2 refusals in the 1st Round. The sole competitor in Category A, Vincent Capol and Angel 259 finished the competition with a total of 8 penalties.

The winner of Best Turn-out Award belonged to Mr Bean ridden by Owen Wong. A cash prize was presented at the prize giving presentation as a token of encouragement.
