Dear members,

 

The FEI Jumping World Challenge 2022 (FEI JWC 2022) – 1st and 2nd Competitions subvented by Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, Leisure and Cultural Services Department and supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club was completed today 27 November 2022 at the Beas River Equestrian Centre.

 

FEI JWC 2022 1st Competition

 

9 riders competed at the 1st Competition on Saturday 26 November, in which 8 riders took part in Category C (1.0 – 1.1m) and 1 in Category B (1.1 – 1.2m).

 

By combining the penalties from Round 1 and 2, Charmaine Ip riding Hope became the winner of the Category C with a double clear in 48.84 seconds. The sole competitor in Category B, Kate Lumsden and Excellent Amie completed the course with 8 faults in 67.66 seconds.

 

The winner of Best-presented Award belonged to Come On Wongchoy ridden by Christian Allderidge.

FEI JWC 2022 2nd Competition

 

Following the 1st Competition was the FEI JWC 2022 2nd Competition on Sunday 27 November. 7 riders competed at the 2nd FEI JWC 2022, in which 6 riders took part in Category C (1.0 – 1.1m) and 1 in Category B (1.1 – 1.2m).

 

By combining the penalties from Round 1 and 2, Katherine Law riding Podges Dream placed first in Category C with a double clear in 66.52 seconds. Kate Lumsden and Excellent Amie, being the sole competitor in Category B, finished with 4 faults in 72.72 seconds.

 

The winner of Best-presented Award belonged to Excellent Amie ridden by Kate Lumsden.

The HKEF Local Jumping Competition 2022 received 49 entries in 6 classes over the weekend, and full results are now available at HKEF website

 

Our warmest congratulations to all winners and thank you all for your outstanding performances. The HKEF would like to thank all riders for their efforts during the competition. Gratitude also goes to all riding schools, officials and BREC team who have contributed to make the event possible.
