Completion of “HKEF Dressage and Eventing Rules Changes 2020 – 2021 Sharing Session”

As per the recent announcement on the new HKEF rules for 2020 – 2021, HKEF is organizing two online sessions featuring the highlights of all the major changes in HKEF rules for 2020 – 2021 among three disciplines, namely Dressage, Jumping, Eventing and General rules.

 

The first session on “HKEF Dressage and Eventing Rules Changes 2020 – 2021 Sharing Session” by RSC members Ms. Alice Mak and Dr. Danny Tong was held this morning.

Alice is our current Chief Steward, FEI Level 3 Steward, FEI Level 2 Jumping Judge, FEI National Safety Officer and HKEF Eventing Delegate; while Danny is HKEF Deputy Senior Dressage Judge and List B Dressage Judge. Both of them are also members of HKEF Rules Sub-Committee and contributed to the overall review of all HKEF rules in the past few months.

 

The session started off with the introduction to the main principles and mechanism of RSC updating HKEF rules. Under the consideration on horse welfare, riders’ safety and the promotion of clean and fair sports, national rules will be updated with reference to the latest version of FEI Rules, comments from members as well as the consultation with senior officials with respective disciplines.

 

A summary on the major changes of the HKEF Dressage Rules and Eventing Rules was illustrated by Danny and Alice respectively, aided with demonstration videos. A Q&A session was also completed at the end.

 

The HKEF would like to thank Danny and Alice for their time and effort in preparing the sharing session for us. We hope all members would find it useful in preparing for the their competition in the new season.
