Countdown the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 3 days!
After a one-year delay, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will finally kick off this Friday 23 July 2021 in Japan. The HKEF is delighted and proud to announce that Hong Kong is sending our first individual Eventing rider to compete in the equestrian events.
The equestrian competitions get underway at Sea Forest Cross-Country Course and Baji Koen Equestrian Park from Saturday 24 July, the day after the Olympic opening ceremony. Dressage competitions will run from 24 to 28 July, Eventing from 30 July to 2 August and Jumping from 3 to 7 August.
The qualified combination as follow:
Apart from athlete Thomas Ho, other Delegation members include Team Vet, Adrian Farrington; Team Coach, Stephen Way; Groom, Melanie Way; Horse Support Personnel, Corinne Bracken and Miranda Rauis. The HKEF would like to express our heartfelt thank you for their contribution and effort for the team under these challenging times on the journey to Tokyo. We also wish to thank The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Hong Kong Sports Institute for their support and sponsorship towards Hong Kong’s participation.

Five local television stations, including TVB, ViuTV, Hong Kong Open TV, Cable TV and NowTV, will be streaming the events during the Games period. Do stay tuned to their official broadcast schedules and updates! Public are also welcomed to visit the Olympics Live Zone at designated sports centres in 18 districts and watch the live broadcast of the Games’ competitions.
