Selection Result of the CSI CH/J/Y Tehran, Iran (12-14 July 2017)
Dear members,
We are pleased to share the selection results of the CSI CH/J/Y Tehran, Iran 2017 made by our Training and Selection Subcommittee under long deliberation as follows:
Riders: Melinda MA (Young rider – 1.15m)
Nathaniel CHAN (Junior rider – 1.10m)
Vincent Zi-Xiang CAPOL (Children rider – 1.0m)
The selection is based on their performance results and experience. Melinda MA won the silver medal in the Longines Horse of the Year Show Grimshaw Plate last April, Nathaniel CHAN won the bronze medal in the Asian Equestrian Federation Junior Championship 2016 while Vincent has been actively competed at 1.0m level and this is the second attempt for him to compete in the captioned competition.
In 2016, we had Oi Man Leung, Florence FU and Vincent Zi Xiang CAPOL as Hong Kong team representatives to take part in this competition. As a result, both Oi Man and Florence won gold medal and silver medal in junior class and young rider class respectively.
On behalf of Hong Kong Equestrian Federation, we wish that the Hong Kong Team representatives with Mr. Joachim Heidenreich as the team coach all the luck in the CSI CH/J/Y Tehran, Iran 2017.
