The Chinese Equestrian Association (CEA) has announced the new dates of the National Youth Showjumping Championship 2022 which will be from 24 – 27 November 2022 at Aijiu Equestrian Club Shanghai, China.

 

Details of the event:

Date: 24 – 27 November 2022 (Thu – Sun)

Aijiu Equestrian Club

No. 999, Jifeng Highway, Shanghai, China

 

The championships will include two age groups: YOUTH (aged 16 – 21; YOB: 2001 – 2006) and JUNIOR (aged 7 – 18; YOB: 2004 – 2015), each with two categories at different heights.

Please note that each competitor can only enter into ONE age category. These are NOT “borrowed horse” competitions and each riders is required to bring his or her own horse in China. Due to the equine travel restrictions and quarantine requirements, riders will not be able to bring his or her own horses from Hong Kong to the captioned championship. Interested riders have to source their own horses in China.

 

All entries from Hong Kong, Team and Individual, would need to be submitted to CEA via HKEF.

 

We are now looking for expressions of interest from HKEF junior riders who wish to take part in this event:

 Aged under 7 to 21 (Year of Birth: 2001 - 2015) Available for the full period of the championship in China
HKSAR passport holder Available for the any post arrival quarantine in China (if travelling from HK)
Interested riders should have past competition results at the target competition level, but we will consider submissions from riders who are training at the level and show potential and whose application is endorsed by an HKEF approved coach, recognising that competition opportunities have been very limited over the past two seasons  
Availability of horse power at suitable level (preferably based in China)  
Available for the full period of the championship in China  

 

 

The following criteria will be taken into account in making selection decisions on the selected athletes:

 

  • Current training level and past competition results of the athlete at the required level or above;
  • Availability of horse power at suitable level (preferably based in China);
  • The willingness of the athlete and availability for the required period of the championship

 

HKEF will notify all applied riders by Friday 4 November.

  9. Letter of support and recommendation from rider’s current coach;
  10. Details on intended horses
  11. Curriculum Vitae (Team Coach/ Chef d’Equipe / Team Manager ONLY)
  12. Previous experience in team management in local or overseas events (Team Coach/ Chef d’Equipe / Team Manager ONLY)

For members who have submitted EOI previously, please kindly confirm your EOI with us and submit the updated Guardian Consent Form. Should there be no change for other items listed above, you are not required to resubmit them.

 

Any late submission or submission with missing document(s) received by HKEF Secretariat will not be processed.
