Jumping Olympic Team Qualifier in Valkenswaard
Wednesday, 14 August 2019 (Hong Kong) – The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Jumping Qualifier for Group G was held yesterday in Valkenswaard, Netherlands. Patrick Lam, Clarissa Lyra, Jacqueline Lai and Kenneth Cheng represented Team Hong Kong. There were two team places available and six teams competing: Hong Kong and also China, Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, the Philippines and South Korea. The result was determined by the accumulated penalties of the top three riders in each team after two rounds of jumping.
Hong Kong finished in third place behind New Zealand and China.
The HKEF would like to extend our congratulations to the Chinese and New Zealand teams for securing the two Tokyo 2020 Olympic Jumping Team quota places. We would also like to express our thanks to our riders and team coach, Corinne Bracken, for their valiant efforts.
