Kenneth Cheng took Silver and Raena Leung took Bronze for the Jumping Individual Competition at the Asian Championships Pattaya 2019!

 

The Asian Championships Pattaya 2019 was held from 1 – 8 December 2019 at the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club. Concluding the Championships was the Jumping Individual Competition today (Sunday 8 Dec).

 

By ranking top 25 at the team competition on Friday 7 Dec, all four Hong Kong riders have qualified to the Individual Final today, competing for the final 12 places at Round B competition. Jacqueline Lai and Confidence 9 finished with 12 penalties in 81.53 seconds, concluding on the 16th place. While Patrick Lam, Raena Leung and Kenneth Cheng had a clear round and ranked top 12 to enter to the Round B competition.

 

Patrick and Claron CR had a clear round in 79.62 seconds, finishing the competition with a total of 11.48 penalties and ranked 5th. Raena and Orphee du Granit completed also with a clear round in 82.95 seconds, bringing her the Bronze Medal with 5.39 total penalties. Kenneth and Tyson AZ finished the final round also with a superb clear round in 81.44 seconds, concluding himself with 3.68 penalties and took home the Silver Medal for the Jumping Individual. The Gold Medal belonged to Taizo Sugitani from Japan with the least penalties of 2.01.
