OLYMPICS UPDATE – Kenneth Cheng and Tyson AZ achieved the Show Jumping Individual Qualification!
The HKEF is delighted to confirm that Kenneth Cheng secured his Olympic Individual Jumping qualification when he and the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Tyson AZ, completed the Vilamoura Tour CSI4* Grand Prix in Portugal in March with only 1 time penalty.
Along with Patrick Lam who confirmed his qualification in last November, there are currently two Hong Kong riders gained the Olympics Jumping Individual qualification. More show jumping riders, Jacqueline Lai, Raena Leung and Clarissa Lyra are also aiming to achieve the OG qualification. A selection of the Jumping Individual rider to represent us in Tokyo will be made after the qualification deadline on 21 June 2021.
Thomas Ho and Tayberry secured their Olympic Eventing Individual qualification in last September and Fleur Schrader, Timothy Tsang and Natasha Tse have also qualified to represent us at the Paralympics.
