Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan – HKJC Youth Equestrian Development Programme 2023/2024
The HKEF is thrilled to announce the opening of applications to the Children’s Squad, the Youth Squad, the Overseas Youth Squad and the Mainland Squad for the Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan – HKJC Youth Equestrian Development Programme 2023/24 season.
In order to ensure that the Youth Equestrian Development Programme focusses on nurturing talented athletes who demonstrate an ability to progress on and representing Hong Kong China in to FEI International competition, minimum criteria are required to be eligible for the squads. For more information, please refer to the 2023/24 Selection Policy
The 2023/2024 squads will include the disciplines of Show Jumping, Eventing and Dressage. The total number of places on each squad is as follows:
Children’s Squad – 12 places, not discipline specific. Athletes will receive training in all three Olympic disciplines.
Youth Squad – 12 places; Show Jumping (4), Eventing (4), Dressage (4).
Overseas Youth Squad – 5 places; places will be allocated according to demand.
Mainland Squad – 8 places; places will be allocated according to demand.
Athletes can apply for more than one discipline, but must submit separate applications, per discipline. Athletes will only be accepted on to one discipline, so if they have a preference, it must be stated on the application.
Athletes interested in applying for the HKJC Youth Equestrian Development Programme will be asked to submit an application form which must include the information detailed in Annex A .

Applications must be submitted by Friday 02 June 2023 at 17:00 (Hong Kong time). Late applications will not be considered.
