Christian Allderidge crowned the CCI1* Hong Kong 2019 Champion!
The long-anticipated CCI1* Hong Kong 2019 concluded with Christian Allderidge became the Champion after the 2 days competitions from 13 – 14 December at Beas River Equestrian Centre (BREC).
HKEF was thrilled to run the CCI1* again in Hong Kong after the last one at the Penford Park in 2011. There were altogether 8 entries in the CCI1* class. After the dressage phase on 13 December 2019 (Fri), competitors went through both Show Jumping and Cross Country phases on 14 December 2019 (Sat).
At the end of the competition, Christian Allderidge and winner of the Eventing Horse of the Year 2019, Emerald Butterfly crowned the Champion with the least 33 total penalties. The second place went to Gary Johnston and Bentley with 35.5 penalties followed by Christian Allderidge with another horse, Rock Emperor.
On top of the CCI1*, two National Eventing Classes, 80 cm and 90cm were held. Matilda Edwards and Queen of Arendelle won the first place for 80cm class, while Anais Chauvin and Good View Delights claimed first in 90cm class.

The HKEF would like to congratulate all the winners and thank all officials and Beas River Equestrian Centre working team for their many months hard work and contribution to our competitions.
Last but not least, we would like to thank all our volunteers Fence Judges as well as all videographers from the Hong Kong Pony Club who helped us to take video on every single fence during the cross country phase. All our volunteers did an amazing job!
