EFHKC Youth Equestrian Exchange Programme

 

We are pleased to invite expressions of interest for the EFHKC Youth Equestrian Exchange Programme, which will be conducted at R&D Riding Club in Huizhou, Guangdong, China, from 25th to 28th March 2024 (Mon - Thu).

 

This programme is aims to provide young athletes with an opportunity to enhance their riding skills and horsemanship through a visit to mainland, China. Furthermore, this program offers a valuable opportunity to expand your horizons and forge connections with fellow equestrian enthusiasts in the mainland, China.

 

Details of the Exchange Programme are as follows:

Maximum 12 athletes

Age

12 – 16 years old

Riding Level

Dressage: Preliminary

Jumping: 60 - 80cm

We are thrilled to invite Mr. Liang Ruiji, Team China's Eventing representative, to demonstrate and share his experiences with young riders during the program.

 

To be eligible for selection an Athlete must:

  1. be aged 12 – 16 as at the year of the programme;
  2. be current members of EFHKC;
  3. hold a HKID card;
  4. hold a valid Mainland Travel Permit/Visa Permit to enter the mainland;
  5. be eligible to attend the entire programme;
  6. submit written support from their riding instructors that to support their ability to participate in the Programme level.

#Current HKSI Eilte Training Grant recipients are not considered for this programme.

 

We look forward to receiving your expression of interest for EFHKC Youth Equestrian Exchange Programme by email to [email protected] by 20th February 2024 at 5:00 p.m. (GMT+8) with the following documents:

  1. Copy of HKID card
  2. Copy of Mainland Travel Permit/ Visa Permit to enter the mainland (can be submit on a later date)
  3. Coach Support Letter
  4. Parent Consent Letter
  5. Two result sheets for both Jumping and Dressage at the required level in 2023-2024

 

Any late submission or submission with missing document(s) received by EFHKC will not be processed.

 

In the event of the exchange programme being oversubscribed, the Training & Selection Sub-committee will make a selection based on the riders with the highest results. The results will be announced on or before 1st March 2024.
