EFHKC Youth Equestrian Exchange Summer Programme

We are pleased to announce the return of the EFHKC Youth Equestrian Exchange Programme this summer. Following the successful previous programme in March, the programme will be held again from 13-17 August 2024 at the R&D Riding Club in Huizhou, Guangdong, China.

This programme continually aims to provide young athletes with an opportunity to enhance their riding skills and horsemanship through a visit to mainland China. Furthermore, this program offers a valuable opportunity to expand your horizons and forge connections with fellow equestrian enthusiasts in the mainland, China.

Details of the Exchange Summer Programme are as follows:

Tentative Schedule

We are thrilled to invite Mr. Liang Ruiji, Team China's Eventing representative, to demonstrate and share his experiences with young riders during the programme.

To be eligible for selection an Athlete must:

• be aged 12 – 16 as at the year of the programme;
• be current members of EFHKC;
• hold a HKID card;
• hold a valid Mainland Travel Permit/VisaPermit to enter the mainland;
• be eligible to attend the entire programme;
• submit written support from their riding instructors that to support their ability to participate in the programme level.

#Current HKSI Eilte Training Grant recipients are not considered for this programme.

Alternatively, you can submit your application with the following items via email to [email protected] by 30 June 2024:

1. Copy of HKID card
2. Copy of Mainland Travel Permit/ Visa Permit to enter the mainland
3. Coach Support Letter
4. Attached Release and IndeRelease and Indemnity and Parent Consent Form for participants below age 18
5. Two result sheets for both Jumping and Dressage at the required level in recent one year

Any late submission or submission with missing document(s) received by EFHKC will not be processed.

In the event of the exchange programme being oversubscribed, the Training & Selection Sub-committee will make a selection based on the riders with the highest results. The results will be announced on or before 12 July 2024.
